About Blue Ridge Ragdolls
We are a small home-based Ragdoll cattery raising two to three litters a year underfoot in our living room. Every kitten is litter-trained, socialised with a resident dog and two children, and leaves fully vetted at 13 weeks. We breed for the classic placid Ragdoll temperament first and colour second.
Breeding practices
- Maximum three litters per year across the cattery
- Queens retired by five years of age and placed as spayed pets
- Kittens stay until 13 weeks minimum
- Early neuter or written spay/neuter contract for all pet placements
Health testing
- HCM DNA (MYBPC3 R820W) negative on both parents
- Annual echocardiogram by a board-certified cardiologist
- PKD DNA negative
- FeLV/FIV negative closed cattery
Policies
- $500 non-refundable deposit holds a kitten
- Two-year congenital health guarantee
